You’re Not Alone

The winter months can take a toll on your mental health. Add on the pandemic and the lack of social interaction that comes with it and it’s easy to see why more and more people are experiencing depression, anxiety, and mental health issues.

You’re not alone.

There are lots of resources available to you:

  • Telehealth—you can use your benefit to schedule virtual visits with a therapist. Some people prefer this option because it’s more discreet than traditional office visits.
  • The Suicide Prevention Lifeline 800-273-TALK (8255)—this free, 24/7, confidential national hotline is a network of local crisis centers that provide emotional support to people in suicidal crisis or emotional distress.
  • Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration’s National Helpline 800-662-HELP (4357)—this is a free, confidential, 24/7 treatment referral and information service that can help you find the treatment you need.
  • Crisis Solutions North Carolina—visit CrisisSolutionsNC.org online to search for help for mental health or substance use crisis by county.
  • NC Department of Health and Human Services’ Hope4NC 855-587-3463—this is a 24/7 mental health support hotline.
  • Cone Health’s 24/7 HelpLine 336-832-9700 or 800-711-2635—this is for immediate assistance for mental health and substance use issues.
  • Atrium Health’s 24/7 Behavioral Health Help Line 704-444-2400—this is to speak to a licensed professional.

It’s ok to feel out of sorts, especially right now. It’s important to get the help you need.
