Our Acupuncture Benefit
Acupuncture is a type of traditional Chinese medicine that involves placing small, thin needles into specific points on the skin to relive pain or provide other health benefits. Routine acupuncture services are included with two of our plans for the treatment or diagnoses of neuromusculoskeletal and related disorders, nausea, or pain.
Highlights:
- Routine acupuncture is included with our Thrive and PPO II plans.
- $35 copay for in-network routine acupuncture services.
- 30% coinsurance for out-of-network routine acupuncture services (PPO II only).
- Coverage includes 24-30 visits per year (varies by plan).
