Medicare does not cover everything.

Original Medicare provides basic coverage, but there will be gaps in the coverage for initial deductibles for in-hospital coverage, deductibles for Part B, and provider costs plus a 20 percent coinsurance. You will be responsible for a portion of your healthcare costs, and there are no additional benefits like dental, vision, hearing, and fitness. Many people enroll in additional coverage options that help pay for costs and benefits not covered by Original Medicare.
