Greensboro, NC, October 26, 2022—HealthTeam Advantage (HTA), a Greensboro-based health insurance company offering Medicare Advantage plans, has received a 5 of 5-star rating for its 2023 PPO plans from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS). A 5-star rating is considered excellent.
This is the second year in a row that HTA has received a 5-star rating for its PPO plans, which have the distinction of being the only Medicare Advantage plans in North Carolina to receive consecutive 5-star ratings.
Medicare rates all health and prescription drug plans each year, based on a plan’s quality and performance. Medicare Star Ratings help consumers know how well a plan is doing. Plans are rated on up to 38 unique quality and performance measures. CMS assesses the reliability of data, clinical recommendations, and member feedback during its review process. Consumers can shop for and evaluate Medicare Advantage Plans at medicare.gov.
