Greensboro, NC, October 24, 2023—HealthTeam Advantage (HTA), a Greensboro-based health insurance company offering Medicare Advantage plans, has received a 4.5 of 5-star rating for its 2024 HMO plans from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS).
Medicare rates all health and prescription drug plans each year on up to 40 quality and performance measures. Medicare Star Ratings help consumers know how well a plan is doing. CMS assesses the reliability of data, clinical recommendations, and member feedback during its review process. Consumers can shop for and evaluate Medicare Advantage Plans at medicare.gov.

HealthTeam Advantage offers two HMO plans, the Diabetes & Heart Care HMO CSNP Plan (specifically for those diagnosed with diabetes and/or chronic heart failure) and the new Cardinal HMO Plan. Both plans offer $0 monthly premiums, $0 medical deductibles, $0 copays for primary care providers, and $0 copays for Tier 1 prescription drugs at Preferred Pharmacies. These HMO plans are open to Medicare beneficiaries in 7 North Carolina counties: Alamance, Davidson, Davie, Forsyth, Guilford, Randolph, and Rockingham.
